AIME Chair
Ed Boddington ("Bod"), CEO and Founder, Harvest Media Group
Bod founded Harvest Media Group in 2004 after selling his UK business, Telescope UK to iTouch PLC in 2002. Telescope was founded in 1998 and grew rapidly to become a world record breaker with its voting management platform for the “Pop Idol” TV series in 2002 on behalf of FremantleMedia and ITV.
Bod serves as the Group CEO of Harvest, which owns two subsidiaries, Harvest UK and Telescope Inc in the United States. Harvest UK, based in London provides interactive services for a number of leading TV brands including The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent, as well as programmes for the BBC and various other media and production companies. Telescope in the US pioneered voting on the world’s biggest entertainment format ‘American Idol’. The group is owned by the founding shareholders and backed by Fleming Family and Partners.
In his role as chairman Ed will oversee and steer AIME through its various core functions including representing AIME members’ interests to industry regulatory bodies such as Ofcom, PhonePayPlus (‘Bod’ sat on the board of the premium rate regulator between 2005-8) and the ASA, and also help members to connect with each other through various initiatives to advance all forms of Interactive Media business.
Jeremy Flynn, Non-Executive Director, D2see
Jeremy Flynn has been an industry leader in the UK mobile content market, with 6 years experience in a variety of roles in the content value chain.
Jeremy is Non-Executive Director of D2see, a Technical Service Provider specializing in delivering and monetising video to mobile for content IP owners and publishers.
Previously he was Head of Commercial Partnerships at Vodafone UK, where he was responsible for the Off Portal Direct-to-Consumer business. In this role for 4 years he drove the UK successful free-market approach to facilitating the off portal mobile content market.
Prior to this, he was at Motorola responsible for EMEA business in mobile application platforms and services.
Jeremy was awarded Greatest Individual contribution to New Media in the NMA Effectiveness Awards 2006.
Rory Maguire, Head of Payment Services, 3 UK
Rory Maguire is Head of Payment Services in 3 responsible amongst other things for Third Party interfaces for both the 3 UK and 3 Ireland networks. Rory is a champion for creating environments for Content and Service Providers to be able to flourish with their consumer services while ensuring consumers are protected from the unsavoury practises of a minority of individuals.
Rory has worked in mobile telecommunications since 1992 with the exception of two short breaks to gain experience in the premium rate telephony service area and in Internet service provision. In the large corporate environment of Orange (1995-2000), he created the content services division, pioneering shortcode text messaging services, IVR menu based voice services, WAP services and mobile ISP content services.
Paul Lynch, Head of Operations, ITV Interactive
Paul Lynch is Head of Operations for ITV Interactive and Interactive Telephony Limited, ITV’s internal IVR service provider and data aggregator.
Paul joined ITV in May 2007 from BSkyB where he spent 7 years with Sky Interactive managing the day to day operations of Sky’s Red Button services and return path platform. At ITV, Paul is responsible for the operational and technical performance of ITV’s PRS activities and was influential in the establishment of ITL and ITV’s process review to implement a robust procedural framework to deliver compliant and engaging Interactive customer propositions.
His experience covers Red Button, SMS, IVR, WAP and Web delivery platforms as well as regulatory compliance and operational work flow.
Graham Pottie, COO, BT-agilemedia
I am the COO of BT Agilemedia responsible for the finance, regulation, product and operations and have a history of launching and managing successful web and mobile based businesses. These include the BT online Shop, Mobile Sense and in 2000, while running talk21 free web email, I successfully lobbied the 4 mobile companies to launch a PRS SMS to offer email text alerts profitably.
I have many years of experience in online commerce and payment and working in regulated businesses.
I am married with three children and am a keen (but flawed) golfer, cyclist and London Scottish RFC fan.
Richard Mann, COO, Mobile Interactive Group
Richard joined Mobile Interactive Group ("MIG") in 2005 and has managed its growth from start-up to an integrated communications group serving the entire mobile services value chain.
Richard qualified as a chartered accountant at PricewaterhouseCoopers advising corporate and private equity clients in the Telecoms and IT sectors on M&A activities. Since leaving PwC in 2000, Richard has worked in senior management positions spanning financial, operational and commercial roles for high growth businesses in the internet and telecoms sector including E-Pay's payment solutions business for mobile top-up.
Richard is on the board of Mobile Interactive Group and its subsidiary companies, 4th Screen Advertising and Jigsaw, and is responsible for the financial and operational strategy across the group including legal and regulatory matters.
David Sheridan, Head of Legal & Commercial Development, OpenMarket
David has been Head of Legal at OpenMarket (formerly MX Telecom) since 2002, with responsibility for contract negotiation, regulatory representation, policy and consultation positions. Acting as the primary advisor for the regulatory concerns of in excess of 500 clients, David has extensive knowledge and experience of all regulatory considerations affecting service providers in the mobile space in several territories, reflecting the diversity of services facilitated by OpenMarket. Such knowledge and experience in the UK covers areas such as PhonepayPlus, the IMCB, Ofcom, Payforit, all Mobile Network Codes of Practice, LBS, the ICO, the ASA and the Gambling Commission. David graduated with a law degree from The University of Leeds and has an MSc in E-Commerce from Birkbeck.
Oliver Wimmeroth, Managing Director, Venista
Born in Koenigswinter, Germany, Oliver Wimmeroth (34) is one of two owners and managing directors of Venista, a group of companies specializing in mobile services distribution. Oliver co-founded the Venista Group in 2004, when it started focusing primarily on the UK and Spain markets, and Venista now operates in fourteen countries around the globe. Although still young, Oliver already has 15 years of experience in the mobile market. He He started working with Deutsche Telekom in the 90s. One of his major points of attention has always been customer satisfaction, and he soon became a customer care manager T-Mobile. He also worked as an in-house consultant with Deutsche Telekom before founding his first own company, Centrium, specializing in mobile messaging and premium services. This company was sold in 2003, and Oliver and his team went on to successfully establish and manage Venista. A resident of Cologne, Germany, Oliver has lived in London for two years and sees this as his second home of business and private life.
Dawn Cooper, Commercial Manager, Million-2-1
As Commercial Manager at Million-2-1, Dawn oversees the sales, marketing and distribution strategy for Million-2-1's expanding portfolio of mobile casino games, SMS services, PRS activity and mobile lotteries. Since joining Million-2-1 in 2006, Dawn has developed successful partnerships with broadcasters talkSPORT, LBC Radio and Absolute Radio, in addition to other partners Manchester United, Liverpool FC, Orange, Vodafone and The Daily Mirror.
Following Million-2-1’s acquisition by IGT-UK Group in 2008, Dawn has been responsible for exploring issues that contribute to acceptance and uptake of mobile gaming including compliance, billing mechanisms, new technologies and regulatory restrictions.
Rudd Apsey, Commercial Director, Sport Media
Rudd Apsey has worked in the media industry for the last 25 years, a period of dramatic change and innovation for that community. Rudd’s commercial portfolio and focus has been at the heart of the race for monitorising content. Consequently he has a clear understanding of the relationship between publisher, advertiser and reader in the PRS value chain.
In 2006 he joined The Daily Sport as their Commercial Director; during that time he has overseen a number of new initiatives all aimed at generating revenues from the considerable amount of content the Sport produces each and everyday.

Sally Weatherall, Managing Director, Strategic Brief Limited
Sally Weatherall, founder and Managing Director of Strategic Brief Limited has over fifteen years experience working in senior roles in the technology and new media industry, including internet service providers, interactive mobile services, software developers and media content providers. She was previously Managing Director of WIN plc’s New Media division managing premium rate services and broadcast media clients. International experience includes International Director of Regulatory Affairs at UUNET Technologies (formerly PIPEX), and Group Commercial Director of e2v Technologies plc. She is a current Board member (and former Chair) of AIME, a founding director of the Internet Watch Foundation and has participated in the work of various regulatory bodies including PhonepayPlus, OFCOM, ASA, European Commission and UK government departments. Strategic Brief Limited provides technology companies with commercial management services regarding business development opportunities and regulatory compliance, in the UK and overseas. A solicitor with an MBA from London Business School, and exclusive industry experience ensures Sally has a solid understanding of both regulatory requirements and commercial imperatives.
