Higher Rate Premium Rate Services
Tariffs on fixed line networks have been capped at £1.50 for over 10 years. AIME members have requested that the association consider the potential for higher rate tariffs, more in line with mobile.
The Higher Rate Tariffs working group has out together a business case for 10p incremental tariffs between 150ppm and 250ppm on 09 and for the introduction of £5 and £10 SDC 09 tariffs. Consumer protection issues and additional due diligence issues are also covered in the business case.
The document has been presented to Ofcom and we are currently waiting for an Industry consultation to be published.
Payforit
AIME acts as a communication channel between members' and the Payforit Management Group and is a consulting partner providing feedback on the Cross Operator Mobile WAP billing mechanism 'Payforit'. In December 2007 AIME also commissioned Fathom Partners to conduct an Industry research study on the success of Payforit after its launch in 2006. AIME is currently working with members to provide feedback on Version 3.0 of the Payforit Scheme Rules.
